LORD I KNOW WHY YOUR PEOPLE CRY.
THEY HAVE NO ROOM IN THEIR HEART FOR ME
SINCE I LOST MY MEMORY.
THEY DECIDED NOT TO STAY
AND THINK IT WILL GO AWAY.

I AM STILL ALIVE DON’T YOU SEE
A SMALL DEED IS ALL I NEED.

TO KNOW I’M NOT FORGOTTEN
A KIND WORD, A COMPASSION HEART,
A TENDER TOUCH, AN I LOVE YOU TOUCHES
MY SOUL.

THE DAYS PASS ON AND YEARS GO BY
AND THEY FIND NO ROOM IN THERE HEART
FOR ME ANYMORE.

NO ROOM FOR ME
What is your name, who are you?
I woke up this morning
I don't know your name.
I wonder who you are.
With a blank look on his face.
I said I am your wife
"Caroline"is my name
You don't know me... that's a shame.

I felt the hurt deep inside
I knew he didn't know it.
But he just sat there the "Look" was the same.
I told him again "Caroline"is my name.

There is no one I can blame
Alzheimer is a terrible disease
It takes away your memory.
So I will go on and tell him my name,
and the look will still be the same.
Who are you? what is your name?

WHAT IS YOUR NAME?
Corner of My World

I would like to take you to the corner of my world.
Where we can laugh and play, sing and be young again.
We can forget our troubles for a little while and
Share stories of days gone by.
A place where we can forget for a time
and examine our mind.
Of the heartache we feel inside.

Alzheimer’s has taken our loved ones away,
but we try to share in there day.
If only we could go back to where our
loved ones had gone.
But we can’t…. so we dream of a life that we once had.
Of a time we share together.
We go into that corner of our mind
and dream of the days gone by.

I know the need to reach out and touch someone and
say I understand, don’t go away… talk to me.
I will listen… Let me know how you feel.
Open your heart, bare your soul.
Don’t be afraid to show yourself to me.
I understand …Really I do.

I have been there and all I have now is
the corner of my world to remember.
Come with me and enjoy the day
Take time for yourself and we
will laugh the day away together.
In the corner of my world.
